16th annual Arts and Crafts Boutique coming to SunRiver St. George

By SGHW Staff

On Saturday, November 5, join your friends and neighbors at the SunRiver St. George Community Center for the 16th annual Arts and Crafts Boutique.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., come experience all the artistic talent the St. George community has to offer. A wide variety of work from over 40 different local artists and crafters will be for sale, including oil paintings, wood carvings, self-published books, metal yard art, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, fine art photography and much more.

The event is also a great way to get in the holiday spirit! Customers will have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy seasonal merchandise, including Christmas ornaments, carved gourds, baby quilts and silk flower arrangements.

“As with years past, the Arts and Crafts boutique will unofficially mark the beginning of the holiday season here at SunRiver,” said Josh Kram, the event’s organizer. “Residents and members of the community will be able to find that perfect Christmas gift for their family and friends with the knowledge that they’re also helping give back to the community.”

While admission to the boutique is free, lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day. All event profits will be donated to the Community Soup Kitchen, the local initiative directed by SunRiver residents Sue Ann and Jim Roberts to feed the working poor and families in need throughout St. George.

This year, the Community Soup Kitchen is on track to serve almost 40,000 meals to hungry residents in the St. George area.
“Funds raised from this wonderful arts and crafts fair mean a great deal to us,” said Nick Bujanovich, volunteer coordinator for the Community Soup Kitchen. “It allows us to have the funds and supply the items we need in order to operate throughout the year. We’re so glad to have the community’s help in feeding those in need.”
